At MCC we believe getting involved on campus provides outside the classroom learning and fun! We look forward to seeing you at one of our many different events or stop by our office to learn how to get involved and make the most of your experience at Girne American University!

MCC hosts a big specter of events throughout the year to celebrate campus ethnic and cultural diversity.

1 - Mountain Trails and Trekking

Day: Saturdays
Time: 10am - 6pm
Venue: Girne Mountain Range

Take a walk in the mountains with our experienced guides! Beware! These walks can be a challenge for some, this is not just a stroll in a park. A great way to combine exercise with social and fun activities! We will take you all the way to mountain peaks, different location each week with varying difficulty levels. Amazing views and unique experiences waiting for you! See you on the trail!

Orientation Program

Welcome

Congratulations on your admission to GirneAmeircan University! We all look forward to welcoming you on campus.

To help you settle into GAU life, the University offers International students an undergraduate Orientation Program.

The Orientation Program is held in the beginning of each Academic Year (usually in October). However, there are also sessions for students starting in Spring Semester. The program provides practical details for living and studying in Northern Cyprus and Girne American University as well as a fantastic opportunity to meet students from more than 100 countries.

The Orientation Program will cover:


 Studying and learning at Girne American University
 Sniversity services (admission office, international office, student services and support)
 Life as a GAU student
 Information on living in Northern Cyprus and GAU and cultural differences
 Practical issues such as employment, visas, health and safety.

 

 

Going into detail

 

 

GE-100 Orientation Program.

GE-100 Orientation is included in your student transcript. There are no credits or grade points assigned to the course. However,the pass grade is a Letter S(Satisfactory).

 

Check out the following steps for completing your Orientation Program.

 

 

Step 1 -Orientation Program Schedule:You can find the orientation program schedule on the GAU website or GAU Multicultural Center page on facebook during the registration period (Fall and Spring).

 

Step 2 – Orientation Stamp: Once you attend the first orientation event you will receive your first orientation stamp.

** Pay Attention! There are two types of stamps: Red and Blue.

Red Stampsare for international Students.

Blue Stampsare for Turkish students.

Step 3 - Orientation Paper: For your orientation sheet, visit the Multicultural Center (Technopark, 3rd floor).

In order to complete your Orientation Program, you have to get 4 Orientation Stamps within one Academic Year. Once you have all 4 Stamps, submit your Orientation sheet at the Multicultural Center Office.
